"MultiframeVer.12, for Plate Element"

Presentation Outline
Hannah will talk about Multiframe and the introduction of plate elements, one of the biggest new developments for Multiframe . Using a general purpose, 6 degrees of freedom Finite Element analysis, it will be possible to model plates and other flat items in conjunction with the existing frame model. Plate results are displayed as coloured contours depicting stresses, forces and displacements. All results can be fully animated. Plate analysis will take Multiframe 12 to new market as well as providing a more advanced tool to existing customers.

"Build Live Tokyo 2009, a Live Building Design Competition, and Innovation of Design and Production Process"

Presentation Outline
BLT2009 is a virtual, live design competition, in which competitors are making BIM, collaborating with multiple companies. The competition is live broadcasted on the internet. Total 300 designers and engineers from 13 teams took part in BLT2000 competitions this year and 700 people watched the competition real time. Each team made 3D model within 48 hours and analyzed, simulated and presented the model. Yamashita will explain its details and innovation of design and production process.

Okaki will introduce "3D Bar Arrangement Simulation Function", which displays the state of bar arrangements during the design phase of RC structures on personal computers.
Checking with 2D drawings requires knowledge and skillful experience. Arranging reinforcing bars to scale in structures helps designers visually confirm the reinforcing bars' spacing, interference and so on in detail, thus helping them avoid problems during construction.
