FORUM8 sponsored "ACADIA 2017" held at MIT.
A hackathon using UC-win/Road was carried out as a pre event.

On 28 and 29 October 2017, a hackathon using UC-win/Road was held at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a pre event of an international conference "ACADIA 2017" that Forum8 (2-15-1 Konan, Minato-ku, Tokyo. President Yuji Ito. URL: http://www.forum8.co.jp/english/) sponsored.

The ACADIA is an organization established for the purpose of research and development on digital methods for architecture design. Prof. Takehiko Nagakura, who is an associate professor of the Department of Architecture at the MIT and is an adviser of Arcbazar, serves as a chairman of the organization. The "ACADIA 2017" especially focused on the utilization of digital tools for education. In the hackathon, the field was expanded to construction civil engineering and urban city planning in addition to architecture, and participants solved design problems by using VR / AR / MR.

After two-day hackathon, eight teams presented a variety of programs such as architectural 4D platform that phases of plan can be checked with Hololens and a program that edits parametric models in VR space by operating VIVE controller. Each prize was selected after reviews, and the "Forum8 Award" was given to "RoadRunners" that developed the foregoing VIVE used program.
