 About Shade3D
Shade3D is an integrated 3D CG software that can be used for a variety of purposes such as architectural perspective, interior design, and product design.

Since this software enables both of the flexible design of 3D CG software and the accurate modeling like CAD software, it is used for architectural perspective, interior design, and product design.

 Shade3D functions
Shade3D has all functions of modeling, rendering, animation, 3D CAD, and 3D printing.

Modeling
Creating 3D shape data with 3D CG software is called modeling. The modeling function in Shade3D includes the modeling of free curved surface, NURBS, and polygon. Users can select their favorite methods according to the shape.

1. Free curved surface
Using control points and handle, users can draw lines with Bezier curve depicting sensitive lines and combines them into a 3D shape.
This method is best for those who want to create models with smooth curves and modelize as if drawing it.

2.NURBS
This is a modeling using "NURBS shape" that is supported in a lot of CAD software and is used widely in manufacture and architecture design fields. This modeling is recommended for designers who prefer accurate CAD-like modeling and real-size contents modeling.

3. Polygon
This is a modeling by polygon mesh composed of vertax, edge line, and surface. Models are created by adding thickness toward offset direction, bridge function, and bevel and boolean operation to every element enabling the fusion and difference extract.
Models created with the polygon modeling is good for the 3D printing.

Rendering
Rendering means the coloring and shading on created shape data. It includes processings such as making perspective by assuming the view point, shading by assuming the light source location, and reproducing of surface texture.
Shade3D helps you to create successful models from photo real image as well as illustration by adding texture such as color, pattern, and transparency to 3D models and setting lighting and sunshine.

Animation
The animation function depicts from simple motion of created characters to movement such as fire, smoke, or collision between objects that the physical calculation is performed.
Animation is created by exporting previews on screen in each video file format.

3D printing
Shade3D corresponds to the STL/OBJ file format supported by many 3D printers. Data can be transported smoothly between Shade3D and 3D printer.
In addition, "3D print assistant function" helps error check and modification before 3D printing.

 3D CAD function in Shade3D
In addition to the current 3D CG modeling function, a 3D CAD data creation function has been added in July 2017 and enhanced in every version upgrade.

Measurement
Surface area, volume, and the center of gravity can be measured with a simple operation. What required for measure is only selecting a shape to be measured and a sort of computing from the control bar. Entire surface area or part of one can be selected. It is expected that this enhancement will reduce the development cost and improve productivity. Besides, location of the center of gravity of selected multiple shape data can be computed now. For example, you can put a 3D printing figure on a stand correctly matching the gravity centers by measuring that of both polygon data.

3D CAD data creation
"NURBS modeling" widely used in fields of manufacture, architecture, and design is adopted. Different from the existing linear shape, free surface, or polygon, NURBS modeling keeps the polish even after the Boolean calculation, and precise shapes with smoother and more complex curved surfaces can be created and measured.

Assembly
This function allows users to arrange different NURBS shape data and adjust their positions. For 2 shapes that standard coordinate and standard coordinate axis direction is set, this function makes the assembly of multiple shapes by moving shapes to match the standard points of both shapes. The corresponding distance and angle can also be decided freely.

Interference check
Shade3D uses different colors for interference parts of multiple NURBS shapes and displays them and their volume on a list. This function improves the efficiency and precision of shape data creation.

Compatibility with other CAD software
Shade3D corresponds to STEP IGES file supported by many CAD software.
Cooperation with other CAD programs has been enhanced. CAD data created in external software can be imported, and circle, sphere, free curved surface created in Shade3D can be converted/edited and exported in NURBS shape format. * Polygon mesh is not supported.

Software for Certification of 3D CAD engineer Grade-1
Shade3D Professional is certified as the software recommended for the Certification of 3D CAD engineer Grade-1 that is one of the largest 3D CAD test in Japan established in 2003.

Export of 3-sides drawing in AI/DXF format
While keeping a scene in the 4-sides drawing, exports the 3-sides drawing other than a perspective plan in ai/DXF format. *The perspective plan is not exported.
