 Linkage with Legion
The Legion plug-in is a plug-in to visualize the analysis result of pedestrian (crowd) simulator developed in Legion Co. in Britain. Legion can simulate the movement of the pedestrian (entity) of an actual space accurately and can evaluate the analysis of the evacuation time and risk and make the hazard map of the emergency. It is a crowd simulator of the multi agent type that handles a pedestrian who has various characteristics and an individual action. Each entity simulate considering the various analysis condition while being interfered by other entities.
The main usages are as followings.

- Congestion mitigation in terminals of subway, train and airport etc.
- Evacuation plan at the time of the crisis
- Evaluation, verification and proposal of alternatives for guiding the audience in stadium and concert venue.
- Simulation of evacuation time in emergency of skyscraper and examination of countermeasure
  Micro Simulation Player
The micro simulation player reproduces the various types of simulation expressed by the movement of 3D model. The Legion plug-in operates as a part of this player function. The visualization is progressed in the following steps.

First of all, activate the micro simulation player, import the simulation result from "Legion XML file..." of Figure 1 and set the movement to match coordinate system.

Then assign the model for each type of character. The model can be selected at random by bringing two or more models together as one profile. After these settings it is possible to reproduce.

 Simulation inside a station
The simulation result of the station is shown as an example. This example shows a simulation of the congestion situation at the peak of the commuting and hundreds of people from the entrance of the station to platform are modeled. The bottleneck part (ticket machines mainly) etc. in which the lead and crowd of the people in a station are overcrowded can visually be confirmed.
   Legion XML file
It's possible to output the simulation result to XML file and import it into micro simulation player. Although both Legion 2D/3D can be applied, in case of linking with UC-win/Road, Legion 3D is recommended. Tracks information (combination of time and position) where each pedestrian walked and the pedestrians' activities are recorded in Legion XML. Pedestrian's direction is calculated from the track information and set to the walking direction.

The pedestrian's activity means their how to move and it has the detailed information such as walking, queueing and climbing the stairs etc. The activity information will be represented at the time of next revision in UC-win/Road.
  Visual Space
Although the virtual space is modeled mostly on UC-win/Road side, it's accurately simulated by importing the 3D model used in Legion 3D into UC-win/Road.

Although the coordinate system used in Legion and the coordinate system of UC-win/Road might be different, the pedestrians and virtual space can be aligned in micro simulation. In addition, when importing the data of Legion 2D, the height of the road is automatically recognized and it's possible to express even the tracks of pedestrian which has no height information in 3D virtual space.
