UC-win/Road Ver12.1 Simulation
3D Real-time VR Simulation

 Quick Building Function
A function supporting the creation of simple building model. On the 3D view, generating bottom section around the building by mouse clicking and setting parameters such as height, you can easily make building models.

Configurable parameters are as follows:
-Height -Colour -Model type -Rotate angle -Inclination angle

You can edit the models you created just like other 3D models in UC-win/Road. Free shaped models with edited parameter can describe high buildings and colourful buildings as well as complicated shaped one such as L-shape. Simple prismatic objects can also be created in addition to buildings.
 Object Batch Move Function
Object batch move function allows you to move objects within the freely selected rectangle range on the road plan view all together by a specified offset value. It took a lot of time to move objects, but with this function, you can move multiple objects at the same time. Remake in the project will be easier because the relative positional relationship between objects you select will not be lost. It is very convenient to move objects loaded when projects are merged.

Selecting Object
Select objects on the plan view. After clicking the icon of rectangle selection mode on the tool bar, drag and surround the object that you want to move with rectangle.

In the rectangle selection mode,
rectangular frame will be displayed
in blue when you drag and drop
the target rectangle.
The selected object will be displayed in red
and will be added to the list on the dialogue.

Data objects having location information such as camera position and pedestrian network can also be moved, and you need not set those information again after move. Road defined models depending on the terrain like cutting, banking, and tunnel are automatically recreated based on a destination terrain.
 Function Improvement
Vehicle Movement Model
Vehicle acceleration could be unstable when acceleration or gear was suddenly changed. In this revision, the calculation method for tire model has been changed to improve the stability.

Log
Frame rate performance of simulation when the log function is valid has been improved. Values of multiple user variables are output.

Oculus Rift Plug-in
It now has more items for rendering quality setting such as resolution factor and the number of sampling of MSAA.

UAV Plug-in
-Improvement of video stream flow
-Support of the use of DJI Phantom 3 Advanced and DJI Phantom 3 Professional
-Support of AndroidTM version 6.0
-Addition of a non-modal screen that displays information, warnings, and errors on the on-screen banner in UC-win/Road
 SfM Plug-in
SfM plug-in is now available on 64 bit environments, and more analysis cases can be managed in one project. This improvement enables description of object to wide range in the space by point cloud. The ways of analysis result acquirement, and management of data such as analysis parameter and photos used for analysis have also been improved to shorten the time taken until display the result on UC-win/Road
  HTC VIVE Plug-in
This is a plug-in that links UC-win/Road to VIVE HMD (Head Mounted Display) and allows wearers to experience VR space. HTC VIVE is a HMD for VR developed by HTC and Valve. In addition to displaying images on the screen inside the HMD, it can synchronize the movement of wearer's face with the UC-win/Road screen and give him/her a higher immersion because external sensors equipped on it detect the position and posture of the HMD.

Oculus Rift Plug-in can also cooperate with HMD. Though basic functions that enable the immersion to 3D space is the same as HTC VIVE, a large difference between HTC VIVE and Oculus Rift is the size of immersion range. While Oculus Rift provides the area of about 2.4 m at diagonal line, HTC VIVE does up to about 5 m. That is, you can have a VR experience in wider range with HTC VIVE than Oculus Rift.

 DS Course Conversion Plug-in
This is a plug-in that outputs road information in UC-win/Road in the CSV format. Entering the output road information in third party's products, you can recreate roads of UC-win/Road in those products.
You can select multiple items for road information to output from the table below.

Distance from the beginning of road Centre coordinate
Left end coordinate Right end coordinate
Width Curvature
Line shape Structural type
Table 2 Output items

You can select "Road" or "Lane" as output object, that is, not only the whole road information but also information of each lane can be read out. Kinds of road and output items are planned to be added in future upgrade.
