VR-Cloudｮ Parking NAVI

VR-CloudｮParking NAVI allows the reservation of parking spaces via internet terminals such as Smart-phones etc. VR-CloudｮParking NAVI therefore solves the problem of searching for a parking space in busy urban areas whilst Parking Lot operators benefit from increased efficiency. Route navigation will be conducted by VR-Cloudｮ for the reserved parking lot. It does not need to prepare the information separately because the VR model including the parking is created. Moreover, the 2D display and the display of text information will also be possible if required. If the range of VR model is a range of position information of assumed users of parking lot, 3D space with area of up to 20km is possible to navigate. When looking for the neighborhood parking lot, the users make a list of the registered neighborhood parking lot which is available by GPS function (*1) and specify one of them, which make enable the users to reserve. The user can access a target parking lot by the navigation of VR-Cloudｮ in a short time. *1…Only the terminal with GPS is applied.  ■Figure 1　System Image

Navigation by VR-Cloudｮ

The route searching function that was able to be used with UC-win/Road was developed.  By the acquisition of start position of driving and the information of parking lot from the reservation system, the route is retrieved and it comes to be able to do the navigation to the parking position by VR-Cloud at once. ■Figure 4 Display the searched route by UC-win/Road ■Figure 5　NAVI from outside of a car ■Figure 6　NAVI from driver's seat

Features of VR-Cloudｮ NAVI

UC-win/Road has the feature "You can create the road freely.". This time, it came to be able to perform not only the parking lot navigation but also the navigation in the VR space by adding the route retrieval function. Since UC-win/Road data which is already created is available, the other method such as driving direction can be expected to be used.

Parking NAVI experience site using the data of FORUM8 head office building (Kamimeguro Meguro-ku) is to be released (PC, Smartphone (Android 3.0 or later)) on July 1, 2012. The VR-Cloud client can be installed by downloading it from the HP of FORUM8. The sample model is to open to the public on the following site.
