Profile
Prof. Haruko Murakami Wainwright is an assistant professor in the Department
of Nuclear Science and Engineering, and Civil and Environmental Engineering
at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and is Norman C. Rasmussen Career
Development Professor. After she graduated from the Faculty of Engineering
of Kyoto University, She received MA in statistics, and PhD in nuclear
engineering from University of California, Berkeley.
Prior to joining MIT, she was a staff scientist in the Earth and Environmental Sciences Area at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
Her research focuses on environmental modeling and monitoring technologies, with a particular emphasis on nuclear waste and nuclear-related contamination.
